Conditioning Corner: Cycle For Survival

Cycle for Survival is the indoor team cycling event that raises funds for research of rare cancers. 100% of the funds go directly to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and are allocated within six months of each event. The donations help fund the most promising research and clinical trials, and have led to better treatments for cancer patients worldwide. Since its inception in 2007 by Jennifer Goodman Linn and her husband Dave, Cycle for Survival has raised over $21.2 million dollars for rare cancer research and funded 53 clinical trials and research studies. Cycle’s direct funding has drastically reduced the time it takes for treatments to reach patients — in some cases cutting the span from years to months.

I was extremely fortunate to have known Jenn. In 2007 she asked if I wanted to have a team participate in the event. I could never have imaged that from one spin room at Columbus Circle Equinox, I had a team consisting of 4 of my clients, this day could grow into such an impactful event with thousands of participants. I have been honored to participate on various teams, help raise money, share in reading and hearing individuals story on how cancer has effect them or a loved one. I guarantee it is one of the most moving days one can experience. Please join in the ride that day or support my team .

Every dollar directly helps. This year is all about Lucky 13. They are projection 13,000 riders to participate in the event this year. Can you help and donate just $13, or maybe a multiple of it? www.trackingapps.org/
